I
the participated in developing the principals of producing long-shelf-life tomatoes.
Since 1984 I
work on domestication of wild fruit trees to convert
them into viable fruit-trees-crops.
Among these species are: cactus-pear, various columnarcacti known as pitayas as well as Marula and Monkey
orange, wild fruit trees of Africa.
All
these subjects are also researched as plant physiology
of whole plants, such as water-use- efficiency,
tolerance to salinity & water stress, CO2 feeding, pruning, fruit quality, post-harvest,
etc.
